Specification

This specification explains how MML instance data is exchanged between electronic systems. If there is no data indicating some command for data control, described below, in the MML instance, it means that the instance is not exchanged between the systems electrically.

This specification defines the addition and deletion of data and how queries are made but not low level communication protocol. Appropriate communication of data such as via ftp, http, smtp, off-line media etc. may be selected according to the particular user environment. The operation of the selected means of communication is up to the user and is not defined in this specification.
